Tues August 31st

Sat on the very top of bleachers with a 5 and 7 year old running up and down (me knowing anytime they were going to fall and break an arm or leg)) while I tried to watch their big brother play football. This has to count for some type of gift-oh and each trip up was to ask for more money for popcorn, coke, hot dog, etc. You guess right-grandchildren.

R2D1 - Eat Pray Love and lunch with Mom

I completed my first giving challenge back in March and it was fantastic....I loved the people I met here, the excitement of giving to others with no expectations and the positive energy generated each day. I've taken a break but I just had to come back for another round....

What's surprised me the most today was as I sit down to blog about what I gave, I find it hard to justify these things as things that I have given...I guess I need to define

The Rejected First Gift?

I finished Cami's book last night and was so inspired by her strength and spirit that I decided to sign up for the 29 Day Giving Challenge. Being that it was my first gift I wanted to do something that would have a big impact. A dear friend of ours has a daughter, Mary, that is going through a difficult time, suffering from severe physical pain, in addition to anxiety and depression. I thought that sending her a copy of 29 Gifts would be an appropriate gesture because of the similarities in both… Continue

The birthday yesterday went very well, there was a new co worker to spent the evening with me on the group to see if he would like to work with us,and he was very excited about the atmosphere which was really open and good last night. I liked him immediately because of his nice friendly and open character,so it was a very busy but heartwarming evening.

Today i went to my mother in amsterdam to go to the hospital with her .She had to have an investigation of her abdomen that would take t
